Linkedln Announces 960 Layoffs Due To COVID-19 Pandemic

Professional networking site, Linkedln, said on Tuesday it would cut about 960 jobs, or 6% of its global workforce.

The Microsoft owned site said that the coronavirus pandemic is having a sustained impact on demand for its recruitment products, forcing its hand on layoff.

It said jobs will be cut across the sales  and hiring divisions of of the group globally.

Chief Executive Ryan Roslansky, said the company was not planning more layoffs and would provide at least 10 weeks severance pay and health insurance for a year for US employees who had to be let go.
