With only three-and-a-half weeks away from the Presidential election of Dominican Republic, leading candidate Luis Abinader said he and his wife have tested positive to the deadly coronavirus.
The country is one of the worst-affected by the Covid19 pandemic in the Caribbean and Latin America, with one out of every 500 people infected, and remains in a state of emergency.
