BREAKING: Suspended EFCC Boss, Magu Released After 10 days in Detention


The suspended acting chairman of the anti-graft agency, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has been released from police custody after 10 days in detention. He was released this evening, Wednesday July 15.


Magu was arrested last week Monday, July 6, 2020 amid allegations of corruption and has been detained by the police since then.


He has been appearing before Ayo Salami-led presidential panel which was investigating allegations of corruption and insubordination levelled against him by Abubakar Malami, Nigeria’s justice minister.


Magu was accused of being unable to account for the interest accrued to recovered funds of about N550bn. He was also accused of insubordination and purchase of property in Dubai, UAE.
