BREAKING: Buhari Names Railway Stations After Prominent Nigerians Like Tinubu, Fashola, Ekwueme

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi announced that President Muhammadu Buhari has named some railway stations along the Lagos-Ibadan and Itakpe/Ajaokuta/ Aladja/Warri corridors after “deserving Nigerians”.

 

This was also revealed by Presidency aide, Tolu Ogunlesi, on Monday in a tweet.

 

According to Ogunlesi, the stations below were named after prominent Nigerians.

 

1. Babatunde Raji Fashola (Agege station).

 

2. Lateef Jakande (Agbado station).

 

3. Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (Kajola station).

 

4. Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti (Papalanto station).

 

5. Prof. Wole Soyinka (Abeokuta station).

 

6. Aremo Segun Osoba(Olodo station).

 

7. Chief Ladoka Akintola (Omio-Adio station).

 

8. Chief Obafemi Awolowo (Ibadan station).

 

9. Chief Alex Ekwueme (Operation Control Centre)

 

10. Bola Ahmed Tinubu (Apapa station)
